Check back again around September for information on the 2010/2011 Alkathon
Alkathon Committee 2009/2010
Christmas Time is one of the times of the year that those who
have a problem with alcohol suffer most from their disease. It is
also a time when the members of Alcoholics Anonymous gather together
to celebrate their recovery from alcohol addiction.
As a way of sharing their experience, strength and hope at
Christmas and New Year's, the Ottawa AA Intergroup provides food,
fellowship and meetings.
If you are a member of the fellowship or think that you might
have a problem with alcohol, please join us in our celebration.
Date: Christmas Eve to Christmas Day New Year's Eve
to New Year's Day
Time: 12:00 noon to 12:00 noon the following day
Place: The Bronson Centre Cafeteria 211 Bronson Avenue
If you would like to help, you can do so by helping us: - greet
people at the door,
- set up and clean tables,
- make coffee,
etc.
If you are member of AA, can your group provide food
contributions? We need cooked hams, turkeys and other main
dishes.
